Sandra Bullock Named Her Baby after Louis Vuitton

These days Sandra Bullock‘s divorce and baby adoption are in hot discussion. Winning Oscar Best Actress helped her increasing popularity a lot. I am very curious about her baby’s name. Although she said that her baby, Louis Bardo, was named after the Jazz musician Louis Armstrong, I want to find out if there were some connection with the luxury brand Louis Vuitton. Many of you may know that Sandra Bullock has a crush on Louis Vuitton handbags. The photo shows her buying Louis Vuitton bags in a shop in 2003.

In fact, it’s no longer a piece of news to name a baby after a luxury brand. This trend was begun by Donald Trump and Marla Maples when they named their baby Tiffany in 1992, showing respect for a jewelry brand. Another actress Kelly Rutherford who is starring in the hit TV drama Gossip Girl, named her son Hermes, another extravagant brand.

Sandra admitted in Oprah Winfrey’s show that her baby’s name Louis Bardo is partly inspired by the brand Louis Vuitton. She said, “I hope Louis Vuitton makes me something big.” The name Louis Vuitton which means “famous warrior” is a french name once used by 18 kings. If there should be some demands to use this name, Sandra experiences ups and downs in Hollywood and she was a qualified warrior in the entertainment industry. In additon, she is also well-known. If giving this name to her baby is not because of her love for Louis Vuitton or Louis Armstrong, she must hope her child grow up as a “famous warrior”.
